Casual Monday

The good news is that I have a job in animation production. I’m 2 ½ months into it and couldn’t ask for a better team or learning experience.
The bad news is that I had to leave the volunteer coordinating gig where I had the opportunity to work on some fantastic projects. I can’t wait to see these finished:
Midnight Son, dir. Scott Leberecht
Circumstance, dir. Maryam Kesharvaz
Monkey & Robot’s Flying Circus, dir. Ken Gray
Jake’s Dead, dir. Jack Graham
I also had the pleasure of being a VFX Coordinator on a music video for a local band, Lilofee:
Destroy Me, dir. Jordan Livingston

Between job searching and creating some gorgeous Excel spreadsheets, I’ve come across these really inspiring tidbits.

I’m especially in love with Lucas Vigroux’s La Marche des Sans-Noms.
Pencil tests from Bill Plympton’s new feature Cheatin’.

The guys behind The Secret of Kells have a wonderful production blog going back to 2005.
